eBay fee calculator UK — private sellers pay no final value fee in 2026

Since eBay’s fee change, selling on eBay.co.uk as a private seller is free: no final value fee, no per-order fee, no regulatory operating fee — sell a £45 item and you keep £45 (Motors: Cars, Motorcycles & Vehicles excepted). Fees only appear if you list more than 300 items a month, buy optional upgrades, run Promoted Listings, or deliver outside the UK (3% international fee). The calculator above is preset to the UK private profile — the country dropdown also carries the full UK business schedule: 10.9% modal category rate, the 30p/40p per-order fee, a 0.35% regulatory operating fee, and 20% VAT on fees via the VAT toggle.

One honest caveat on the business profile: eBay UK publishes per-category rates from 5% to 14.9% with no single “most categories” row, so the tool computes the modal 10.9% tier (Antiques, Collectables, Toys & Games and more) — the full official chart is on the eBay fees page. For the US eBay.com schedule use the main eBay calculator; to weigh the same item across all four platforms, run the comparison.

eBay fees — United Kingdom · private seller — the exact numbers

Promoted Listings (5% ad rate)£2.50
All platform fees together£2.50

Amounts are a worked example — £45.00 item + £5.00 shipping charged, every optional fee switched on (Promoted Listings at a 5% ad rate) — so each line shows real money. Your numbers differ: run them in the calculator above.

Category tiers: FeeKeep computes one representative tier per seller profile (US “most categories” 13.6%, UK business modal 10.9%, DE business 12% up to €990 then 3%, IE private 11% up to €1,990 then 2%) — the full official category charts are on the eBay fees page.
