PayPal international fee calculator — cross-border payments in 2026

Receiving a PayPal payment from abroad costs the domestic rate plus a cross-border surcharge. US accounts add 1.5% on top of 3.49% + $0.49. UK accounts add 1.99% — or 1.29% when the sender is in the EEA (modelled at 1.99% so fees are never understated). Eurozone accounts treat EEA senders as domestic, charge +1.29% for the UK and +1.99% for everyone else; on the Micropayments plans the surcharge is 1.5% (US) or 1.0% (UK/EU).
